Olive Garden Restaurant Review: This chain restaurant brings a mass-market version of Italian cuisine to the public. The décor of stucco walls, beamed ceilings and terra-cotta floors is formulaic, but still pleasant. Indeed, the atmosphere gives a feeling of abundance and good cheer. The wines are low priced, and many of the dishes may not be our idea of traditional antipasti, but the public keeps coming for fried offerings such as zucchini, mozzarella, raviolis and chicken fingers. From the extensive menu that includes seafood and steaks as well, you can do all right with a lasagna or linguine marinara, or make your own breadstick pizza. Selections from the Garden Fare menu offer lighter, 500 to 800 calorie dinner options, and gluten free dishes are also available. Cheesecake and tiramisu are among the desserts --- you know the drill. |
