| This Osha Thai outpost is dressier than its older sibling located in the Tenderloin. The branch in the Mission has large floor-to-ceiling windows that act as a frame for the bustling dining room. The inside décor seems transplanted from an über hip East Village restaurant---part 70s, part tropics and part futuristic complete with clear plastic tables and chairs. Osha has managed to pull off being new and familiar, hip and approachable, with solid food that is still comforting and served by a friendly staff. Traditionalists will go for the pad thai, satay chicken and tom yum soup. Branch out and try the spicy pork salad with huge pieces of tender roast pork, rich duck in a spicy red curry, and the green curry fried rice which brings together the best of two worlds. |
