Oyaji Restaurant Restaurant Review: Hideki Makiyama, former owner of Saji Japanese restaurant in the Marina, is behind this restaurant in the outer Richmond. While the sushi list is typical of most modern sushi places, the rest of the menu concentrates on delicious, authentic small plates. If they have the monkfish liver on the menu, be sure to order it. It comes topped with a bit of sliced onion and daikon radish flavored with a bit of spicy sauce. Another rich and seductive dish is the braised pork belly served with karashi mustard. Besides the small plates and the sushi, there are also noodle dishes, grilled dishes and yakitori. |
