Pagliacci Pizza Restaurant Review: East Coast-style pizzas feature thin, pliable crusts; Pagliacci Pizza favors this approach, and it’s been dishing up pies at this University District location, the original outpost of the chain, since 1979. Pizza by the slice and whole pies are offered in an order-at-the-counter, hustle-and-bustle environment. Toppings range from traditional to creative: goat cheese with sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms and green peppers on an olive oil base, or balsamic vinaigrette-marinated chicken with artichokes and red onion, to name just a few. The menu is enhanced with seasonal additions, which might include pear slices with Gorgonzola and rosemary potato. |
