| Located in the University District, the original Pagliacci opened in 1979. This order-at-the-counter restaurant offers pizza by the slice or whole pies in a hustle-and-bustle environment. The East Coast-style pizzas feature thin, pliable crusts. Toppings range from the traditional to the creative: goat cheese with sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms and green peppers on an olive oil base, or balsamic vinaigrette-marinated chicken with artichokes and red onion. The menu is enhanced with seasonal additions including pear with Gorgonzola and rosemary potato. |
