Palazzo Giuseppe Restaurant Review

: This is one of those rare places that succeeds in offering a variety of very different dining experiences. The stylish main restaurant can be a destination for festive happy hours, an express weekday lunch, an authentic Italian dinner, or a leisurely weekend brunch. There’s also a casual space next door with by-the-slice pizza and other easy-to-grab fare, including house-made seasonal gelati. The bread and pizza dough are made daily and fired up in the brick oven, and the pastas are made in-house, too. As a result, among our favorite menu items are the Gorgonzola pizza with caramelized onions, the strozzapreti pasta in a light English pea cream sauce, and the pappardelle with braised veal ragù. There are many local labels and some solid Italian picks on the ample wine list, plus Peroni on tap and a full bar. (This is a sister restaurant to Giuseppe’s Cucina Italiana and Giuseppe’s Express in Pismo Beach.)
