Palazzo Giuseppe Restaurant Review: This stylish downtown spot offers everything from festive happy hours to Italian dinners and pizza by-the-slice to go --- and does it all well. Sit at the bar and make a meal of appetizers such as spinach gnocchi, spicy prawns and a Caesar salad, or go for the gusto with entrées like osso buco with saffron risotto. The bread and pizza dough are made daily and fired up in the brick oven, and the pastas are house-made, too. For dessert, have any of the seasonal gelatos. Many local labels and some solid Italian picks find a place on the ample wine list, plus there’s Peroni on tap and a full bar. (This is a sister restaurant to Giuseppe’s Cucina Italiana and Giuseppe’s Express in Pismo Beach.) |
