Pampas Bar & Grill Restaurant Review: Located on the outskirts of San Diego near Montgomery Field, the restaurant is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown and Hillcrest. You’ll find an array of Argentine classics, such as empanadas, grilled meats and Italian-influenced pasta dishes. Portions are ample and the flavors authentic; be sure to come with a hearty appetite. The calamares fritos (baby calamari) are lightly fried and served with lemon, capers and roasted garlic aïoli. Blue cheese and herb-crusted filet mignon is also a solid pick. Meats are grass-fed and hormone-free. Desserts include dulce de leche and light, airy panqueques (aka crêpes) drizzled with rich, sticky sauce. |
