THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Paninoteca Restaurant Review: Yummy Italian-style panini are pressed on a hot griddle, then served warm. Dig into any one of a variety of interesting combinations, from dolphin with spicy aïoli, mizuma and tomato on ciabatta, to simple tomato and fresh mozzarella and basil on focaccia, griddled to oozing perfection. Since opening about four years ago, this place has slipped in terms of quality and consistency, but it still packs in hundreds of local devotees daily. However, the soups we tried are watery and bland; the cold salads skimpy, expensive and unimaginative. The hallway-like interior is cramped.
