 Panzano Restaurant Review: Located in the Hotel Monaco Denver, the multi-level Panzano has vaulted ceilings and a contemporary décor. If you sit at the counter, you'll have a close-up view of the open kitchen as it prepares modern interpretations of classic Northern Italian dishes. Starters might include mushroom stuffed crêpes or fried Brussels sprouts tossed with apple cider reduction, pistachios and sliced green apple. You can't go wrong with pasta: carbonara with house-cured pancetta and Grana Padano or gnocchi with rabbit confit. Gluten-free menus are also available. The downtown after-work crowd often gathers at the bar, sipping Bellinis and munching on crispy calamari. Italian wines dominate the large and well-priced wine list. There's also happy hour every day in the lounge from 2:30 p.m.-6 p.m. |
