California Pizza Kitchen Restaurant Review:
Suburban families can’t get enough of the crispy-thin pizzas from this California-based chain. The list of two-dozen pizzas includes all the standards, but there are also inventive versions like wild mushroom, mango tandoori chicken, and roasted garlic chicken, with a garlic-shallot butter. Barbecued chicken pizza is far and away the most popular of the pies. Pastas and salads are just as varied, including Asian-inspired Thai linguine with spicy peanut-ginger sauce and crisp romaine Chinese chicken salad. Soups, appetizers and sandwiches made with hearth-baked focaccia round out the menu. Try the red velvet cake for dessert.
