The Greek at the Harbor Restaurant Review:

Any restaurant in the Ventura Harbor has beautiful views of the sailboats slipping in and out of their berths, especially at sunset. The Greek offers something else to look at after 7:30 p.m.: belly dancers or dancing waiters depending on the night of the week. Gordon Ramsay refined this former “Nightmare” for his reality TV show, but a party-appropriate atmosphere still prevails most evenings. Revelers can down ouzo shots with Greek staples like saganaki cheese flamed with rum, spanakopita, roasted lamb or moussaka. But there are other popular, more interesting dishes like the salonika chicken, which is stuffed with spinach and feta, wrapped in phyllo and then baked. Aphrodite salad has artichoke hearts, boiled eggs and avocado. Athenian pasta has lots of vegetables in a tomato-cream sauce. Desserts, for the most part, aren’t worth the calories. For a completely different experience, try breakfast on Saturday or Sunday mornings. They’ll cook up two eggs with loukaniko sausage or scramble an omelet with potatoes, feta, Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese. A Greek coffee will keep you revved all day.
