Pineapple Grill’s beautifully presented dishes reveal quality local ingredients prepared with care. Appetizer standouts include the Kona lobster-coconut Thai bisque, redolent with red curry flavor; jumbo lump crab cakes; and a fine cheese plate that offers selections from Spain and France. We recommend the pistachio- and wasabi pea-crusted ahi steak, seared just right and rare in the middle, nicely accompanied by creamy coconut-infused black rice. The Asian braised short ribs are fork-tender with kalbi-style sauce, served with a truffled potato purée. Make sure to leave room for dessert, because the pineapple upside-down cake, topped with rum-coconut sauce and a scoop of macadamia nut ice cream, is something you will dream about.
