Pizza Delicious Restaurant Review: Tulane University students Michael Friedman and Greg Augarten started baking and delivering pizzas to pay their tuition. Their success demanded a permanent location, so they started a delivery pizza service open only on Sundays. Eventually they did enough business to open this full-service pizzeria, with its industrial-looking façade, wide-open oversize kitchen, and just enough seating to stay crowded at all times of the day. A limited menu of pies is supplemented by daily specials. If you're lucky, you'll encounter the puttanesca pizza with olives, capers, garlic and anchovies. Pizzas are huge, and also available by the slice. Several beers and a few Italian wines by the glass are available. The best ending to a Pizza Delicious meal is the house gelato with rosemary shortbread, but some cannot resist the giant sea salt chocolate chip cookies. The place still delivers to many surrounding neighborhoods, via couriers on bicycles.
