Pizzeria Stella Restaurant Review: Stephen Starr’s Pizzeria Stella offers inventive pies on the corner of 2nd and Lombard. Eat your wood-roasted sausage and long hot pesto pizza inside, or sit outside for people-watching and a weekend view of the colorful Headhouse Farmers’ Market. On one visit, the pizza crust was more flaccid than firm, a disappointing note given the care put into the array of antipasti dishes. Don't miss the grilled octopus with fennel, the broccoli rabe with ricotta salata, and the tuna panzanella salad with roasted vegetables. And for dessert, try a seasonal gelato. A beer and wine bar is also part of the experience. |
