THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Pizzutti's Restaurant Review:
Just a few blocks away from the big bustle of Shadyside’s Walnut Street, Pizzutti’s warmly welcomes diners for a relaxed lunch or a romantic dinner. The décor aims for rustic Tuscan, channeling the vibe of a Florentine trattoria. All is fresh and house-made, including serious soups, pastas, and such Northern Italian classics as veal piccata, steamed mussels with tomatoes, onions and white wine and grilled Tuscan pepper steak. Grazing targets include the bruschetta of the day, ravioli of the day, gnocchi and the restaurant’s signature mushroom soup. All is à la carte. Personal checks or cash are accepted, but no credit cards. Despite the bar at the entrance, there’s also no liquor license, so bring your own fine bottle of Chianti or Barolo ($5 corkage fee).
