The Place at Perry's Restaurant Review: The Place at Perry's refreshed its brand and changed names without any damage to its reputation for notable beef or its warm, clubby atmosphere. "The Place," as it is sometimes called, serves all-natural Niman Ranch beef and chops as part of its mission to create a more sustainable menu. While meat is still the star, the updated menu also includes environmentally friendly poultry and seafood choices such as quail stuffed with andouille cornbread and topped with sweet Prince Charles Drambuie sauce and lightly fried Texas-style lobster. The Prime bone-in rib-eye is cooked to your preference with a nice sear and a tangy flavor with the roasted shallot au jus. The Place is proud of its sides, with rich sautéed mushrooms, giant baked potatoes loaded with toppings, mac 'n' cheese, and creamed spinach that would entice anyone to eat more vegetables. In addition to updating the menu, The Place at Perry's has expanded its hours to include lunch, Sunday brunch, and weekday happy hour so hungry guests have more opportunities to enjoy exotic prickly pear chorizo sliders and jumbo lump crab meat with poached eggs and crawfish hollandaise. |
