Pollo Campero Restaurant Review: Inside Pollo Campero, shimmy-worthy Latin tunes are cranked, and a salsa bar with roasted chipotle and molcajete verde salsas, chopped onions and zingy jalapeños serves as ground zero for topping the spicy fried birds, which regulars lovingly tear from the bone and wrap in warm corn tortillas. If you're in the mood for something a bit lighter, go for the citrus-infused grilled chicken. Sides are out of the ordinary, too. Be sure to try the sweet caramelized plantains, cilantro- and bacon-flecked pinto beans and lime-laced Campero coleslaw. A good deal to feed the family is the sixteen-piece chicken meal with sides, including black beans and rice. Don't pass up the tres leches cake for dessert.
