Polynesian Cultural Center Restaurant Review: You'll miss out on much of what the Polynesian Cultural Center has to offer if you only show up for the luau. Do the smart thing and opt for a package which allows you to explore the islands of Polynesia which are accurately depicted in life-size replicas of traditional village life. There are numerous cultural activities throughout the day and after soaking in all of it, choose the Alii luau for its authenticity. It's not a luau without kalua pig and this one is satisfying, especially with a bit of poi, lomi lomi salmon and a purple-hued taro roll. More conventional choices abound but live a little and try some of the traditional dishes. Entertainment is not forgotten here as a cast of young Polynesians perform dances, music and ceremonies from their native islands. There's a reason this attraction is such a top draw---there is nothing out there like it nor executed so well. |
