This aromatic eatery, redolent with aromas of pickle brine and smoky cured meats, is possibly the closest thing to a real New York deli that you'll find in Palm Beach County, for better (overstuffed sandwiches, oversize portions) or worse (waiters that are often brusque). The deli's strongest suits are its big breakfasts like lox, eggs and onions (with bagel or bialy) or cinnamon-spiked almond french toast, and lunches featuring sandwiches generous enough for two---we suggest the corned beef or pastrami, hot brisket and turkey (carved fresh from the frame)---and baked salmon salad. We also recommend the old-country goodness of the matzo ball soup, and appreciate that the place carries some classic but rather esoteric items hard to find in South Florida delis, such as tongue. The eatery is extremely family-friendly, though sometimes-slow service may make small fry antsy.
