 What began as an antiques shop blossomed into a local empire with lines out the door at many locations. The reason: toasted sandwiches stuffed with high-quality meats. Honest-to-goodness-addictive is the Italian on a crisp-baked roll, but A Wreck (stuffed with roast beef) and the fine chicken salad aren't half-bad either. But remember the hot peppers---they're requisite. And don’t forget to check out the salads with premium toppings and sweetly tangy house vinaigrette. Fresh-baked cookies, bars and shakes, the latter crowned with a butter cookie, are a fine way to finish. Other locations are around Chicagoland.
