The Purple Cactus Restaurant Review: Choice is on the menu at The Purple Cactus, where customers build their own wraps from soup to nuts, so to speak. It starts with the tortilla selection---white, whole wheat, spinach, red chile; next come the fillings---chicken, steak, shrimp, grilled vegetables, tofu, brown rice, black beans and so on; homemade guacamole and low-fat yogurt follow. Other options include posole and chili made with poultry (rather than the customary higher-fat meats), a gargantuan nacho plate, salads and more. Freshly squeezed juices and smoothies add California sunshine. At lunchtime, the place is usually packed, but the line moves quickly. |
