 When a boisterous neighborhood restaurant with an easy-going menu and no-nonsense service is in order, head directly to Q. Groups may have to add their names to the list and claim some stools at the bar. No problem, just call out for a micro-brew or pitcher of sangrÃa and take in the outlandish found-art pieces and brightly colored décor. The southern-inspired down home meals are designed for a hearty appetite. Barbecue ribs basted with a spicy sauce are served with sweet baked beans and crunchy slaw. Outstanding fried chicken, densely crunchy on the outside, reveals tender meat as does the beer-battered catfish. Brunches cast a wider net with piquant chilaquiles and dense portobello mushroom sandwiches.
