THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Rainbow Bar & Grill Restaurant Review:
Renowned in the music industry, Jerry and Bob Greenberg opened their 7,500-square-foot eatery in their dream location---across Paradise Road from the Hard Rock Hotel. Similar to their Hollywood club, the restaurant's two non-smoking, dimly lit dining rooms are furnished with comfortable red leather booths. Wine bottles, rock memorabilia and photos, and plasma TVs adorn the walls. The bar is a lively gathering place into the wee hours, as is the lounge with its live entertainment. Dinner and late-night menus feature hearty portions of specialties popular in the original, including homemade chicken soup. The Caesar salad is a winner, with or without grilled chicken or shrimp. We like the chicken and veal Parmigiana---in sandwiches with fries, onion rings or a meal-sized salad; and as main courses with pasta or fresh vegetables. Pizzas come with toppings such as margherita, ham and pineapple, and pepperoni. Try the spaghetti with meatballs or sausage and tomato, marinara or Alfredo sauce. Carnivores love the 12-ounce filet mignon that may be ordered with a lobster tail or grilled shrimp, and the 16-ounce New York steak. Chicken or veal francese and Marsala are also popular. So is the platter-sized tiramisu.
