Reginelli's Pizzeria Restaurant Review: To many New Orleanians, the first name in pizza is Reginelli’s, because its thick, flavorful crusts, imaginative topping combinations and weekly specials draw crowds. Monday and Tuesday nights’ $2 pitchers of Abita beer make a pizza night extra appealing. A typical specialty pie is lavished with pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil and roasted red peppers. The fillings for two-fisted grilled focaccia sandwiches are our favorites: slices of chicken roasted with rosemary, daubed with goat cheese and fresh spinach. For those trying to watch their waistlines, Reginelli’s also offers its “Eat Fit” menu, featuring items such as chicken pita sandwiches, asparagus and avocado salads and several hummus selections.
