THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Roman Lily Cafe Restaurant Review:

The restaurant's funky storefront space has a magnificent view of the Atlanta skyline, which should be savored before entering. The brick walls within are strewn with whimsical items. Murals have the freshness of street art; one was painted by a waiter. Calavino Donati's cooking derives from her Tuscan grandmother. She buys her pasta freshly made each day. The three-cheese tortellini in a sun-dried tomato-pesto sauce demands one bite after another. The scallops on baked polenta couldn't be fresher or more perfectly cooked and come with a sauce of shiitake and button mushrooms. For dessert, snag the house-made banana bread topped with more bananas and very good ice cream. Coffee is excellent. The little wine list is what you'd expect in a bistro of this sort; no surprises but every choice having its role to play. We liked the Spanish El Coto Blanco (white) with the scallops.
