Roof Top Cafe Restaurant Review: This restaurant has charmed diners with its treetop patio for over three decades. Perched just one floor up from busy Front Street (with Mallory Square and the cruise ship docks within sight), it offers the atmosphere of a sequestered, private garden, whether you sit inside or out. Executive chef Brendan Orr presents “New Island Cuisine” inspired by his travels and by local ingredients, with plenty of flexibility to satisfy a diner looking for a straightforward classic, too. Steakhouse lovers will enjoy the Bahamian-style red conch chowder or crispy calamari, followed by chipotle-glazed roasted pork tenderloin, or a filet in Dijon glaze. Seafood fans will go for the house-specialty shrimp and crab cakes in citrus beurre blanc, followed by the crab and shrimp stuffed sea bass accompanied by coconut rice.
