The former Beamreach restaurant has been transformed from a stuffy, dowdy steakhouse into a cozy, upbeat dining room serving its own interpretation of Italian cuisine gone Hawaiian. The menu ranges from fresh sashimi and fried nori rolls to eggplant Parmesan, chicken saltimbocca and spaghetti with meatballs. The results generally satisfy, especially when the entrée employs island seafood, and the chef makes extensive use of local produce. The bar is busy and happy, with nightly live music.
