A beautifully converted 210-year-old barn sets the tone for the dining experience at The Saddle River Inn. Chef Jamie Knott offers a tempting menu that may include local black sea bass, spinach and shiitake mushrooms with ginger-soy brown butter, or Australian lamb chops with charred eggplant, hummus and mint chimichurri. For dessert, just try to resist peanut butter mousse with toasted marshmallow ice cream. Bring a good bottle of wine. Trust the staff. They know how to handle it and the food deserves it.
