THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sage on Fifth Restaurant Review:
The eclectic New American cuisine served in this simply-designed, sixty-seat neighborhood restaurant is undeniably innovative. A plethora of showy ingredients occasionally boost but more often obscure well-prepared food. Orange- and honey-glazed duck is one dish that works---surprising in light of the loony accompaniments of wild rice griddle cake, panko-crusted foie gras and duck jus infused with chocolate and vanilla bean. Seafood entrées are more Caribbean in scope and offer the most consistent bang-for-the-buck on the moderately priced menu.
