Salinas City Barbeque Restaurant Review

: Some things to know about Salinas City Barbeque: Food can sell out without warning; you may wait a while for a table; and parking is almost nonexistent. Also, the menu's not vegan-friendly and you can't have it your way. If you like slow-smoked meat, however, none of that will matter. And you do get choices when it comes to portion size. Skip the salad; toss the Texas toast. Instead, enjoy the spicy beans, sweet crunchy slaw and potato salad straight from childhood picnics. Tender brisket disappears pretty early --- with good reason. And on Wednesday, they serve buffalo ribs --- lean, flavor-packed ribs from an actual bison. There are two desserts, three if you count the root beer float. Order the sweet and hearty bread pudding as soon as you’re seated, or “settle” for the intensely fruity berry cobbler with ice cream.
