This sleek and snug downtown eatery is an island hot-spot. From the impressive starters, choose from Icy Bay blue mussels steamed in a garlicky white wine sauce, oysters from Prince Edward Island or littlenecks from Florida. Our favorite appetizer is the deftly fried asparagus spears topped with lump crab meat and sauced with lemon butter. Fine soups from the kitchen, like roasted tomato with cumin and coriander, compete with full-bodied gumbo served piping hot from the kettle. The menu is printed daily to capitalize on the freshest offerings available. A signature dish, the Shanghai delight, presents the best catch of the day steamed and served on a bed of spinach and bok choy with a ginger-soy sauce. Though there are a few meaty choices like a Texas T-bone, seafood reigns in the form of lobster tacos, barbecue-spiced oysters or ample corn-dusted crab cakes. For dessert, we single out the chocolate truffle cake with raspberry coulis.
