San Francisco Street Bar & Grill, an American bistro, has managed to hold its own for nearly 40 years in Santa Fe’s capricious restaurant market. The menu features red, white and blue classics like two-fisted Angus beef hamburgers and grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches. There are also a number of heaping salads, including one with pan-seared shrimp, sliced mango, avocado, cherry tomatoes and candied pecans. Vegetarians will be satisfied with options like the portobello and mozzarella sandwich, gussied up with zucchini and black bean tapenade, or the Mediterranean salad plate, loaded with red chile-spiked hummus, stuffed grape leaves, grilled vegetables and feta. The wood floors, wide windows and hand-hammered copper accents make this place comfortably airy and a good spot to unwind after a long day of shopping.
