| After several incarnations, the restaurant at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel found its niche as Sans Souci, specializing in the cuisines of France, Italy, Spain, Greece and Morocco. Elegant columns and hand-painted wall murals, meant to depict the architecture and countryside of Provence, draw you in. Once you have swirled your first piece of fresh bread in olive oil, you might as well be there in body and in spirit. The menu changes often, but count on entrées like seafood pasta in a light sauce, grilled and roasted seafood and bouillabaisse. An extensive wine list---heavy, of course, on offerings from Spain, France and Italy but not without some domestic players as well---provides any number of ways to complement your meal. Desserts usually include a truly indulgent chocolate confection. Also not to be missed: the excellent coffee. |
