| Santa Fe Bar & Grill falls in the category of casual and easy. It's a good place to go for chips and salsa with friends, or loaded sandwiches and salads for a light lunch or dinner. For a locals' take on the Cobb salad, order the Santa Fe Cobb, which adds jícama, poblano peppers, cotija cheese and tortilla strips to the typical mix of grilled chicken breast, bacon, tomatoes and romaine. Though the restaurant tries to amp up the atmosphere with a fountain outside and bright artwork on the walls, it's a laid-back bar and grill through and through. Plenty of New Mexican specialties populate the menu, such as the blue corn vegetable enchilada and the roasted poblano chile relleno. After lunch or dinner, swing by the DeVargus movie theater and catch a flick, many of which are indie. |
