This is the “total package” --- hibachi grill, sushi bar, white tablecloth dining --- and it draws a following that enjoys elaborate décor, big windows and aquariums. Customers also come for affordable Asian-inspired cooking, artful sushi and entertaining hibachi tables. The menu offers “fusion” dishes as well, such as the South-West roll made with Cajun spice-crusted white tuna topped with grilled scallions, avocado, tomato coulis, and spicy mayo and wasabi aïoli; and wasabi lobster dumpling soup featuring asparagus, mushrooms and an aromatic, light ginger-soy broth. Service is adequate, the bar scene is lively.
