Dining room at Seasons 52, Costa Mesa, CALocated in the lower half of the former Clubhouse space in South Coast Plaza, Seasons 52 presents an invitingly casual design with warm woods and brown leathers. Guests nosh at lunch or dinner in the cozy main dining room, on the outdoor patio, at the bar (with nightly piano), in two private rooms and at a circular chef’s table. Chef Tim Kast oversees the menu, which features lots of signature dishes along with weekly specials based on local, seasonal ingredients. Start with a flatbread selection such as the crunchy and savory Black Mission fig, goat cheese, bacon, mint and wild arugula creation. At lunch, try the burgers (oak-fired buffalo), sandwiches (roasted vegetables) and entrée salads (barbecue chicken). Signature dinner entrées include the nicely crafted chicken chile relleno and smoky cedar plank wild salmon with roast carrots, asparagus and red potatoes. Most of the varietals on the wine list can be ordered both by the glass and by the bottle. Service is topnotch; knowledgeable servers can recommend wines and pairings. Seasons 52 also accommodates special dietary needs for organic-only, low-sodium, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals.
