The Secret Garden Cafe Restaurant Review

: With all the charm of the children’s novel for which it's named, The Secret Garden Café invites visitors of Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village into its garden patio setting to enjoy creative renditions of breakfast and lunchtime fare, as well as rich desserts and pastries. For breakfast, try one of the deep-dish quiches, a plate of french toast, or the chef’s scramble with roasted tomatoes, fresh rosemary, cream cheese, bacon and hash browns. Come lunchtime, the menu offers an assortment of starters, from “yesterday’s soup” or fresh corn chowder to bruschetta or the hummus pizza --- pita bread topped with hummus, feta, caramelized onions, Black Mission figs and roasted red peppers. Salads range from Mandarin chicken to a classic Cobb --- there’s a veggie burger as well. A kids' menu lists classics like grilled cheese, PB&J and quesadillas. The Café is open until 5 p.m. daily, giving you plenty of time to sneak in a late-afternoon meal or coffee break.
