Ship's Cabin Restaurant Review: This de facto special occasion dining destination of yore has changed hands and personalities a few times since former proprietor Joe Hoggard introduced a world-class wine list here from his whirlwind trips to France. Current owner Thomas Dourdoumis has settled in proudly and comfortably, drawing his own faithful clientele from those who frequented his previous restaurant, Venice at the Oceanfront, as well as diners from the redeveloping Ocean View neighborhoods. They come for deep-fried seafood platters, bruschetta salad, veal Parmigiana and snow crab legs, leaving room for the homemade baklava. The mood is more kick-back and relaxed now (there are six flat screen TVs in the bar for all your televised sports needs), but the staff is professional and accommodating (many are family) and the view is as special as ever.
