Shogun Japanese Steak House Restaurant Review:
A friendly, homey alternative to chain Japanese steakhouses, this place includes a small sushi bar, tables up front and teppan tables in the rear, where chefs cook beef, shrimp or chicken on the tabletop grills while diners watch. It's a good show and good fun, and the food is good, too. It's a family affair for the Yung family, who happen to be of Chinese descent but do a successful job preparing crowd-pleasing Japanese fare. In addition to the sushi and sashimi offerings, the restaurant serves a number of udon and soba noodle dishes as well as donburi, teriyaki and tempura selections. This is a neighborhood restaurant in the best sense of the word.
