THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Silver Slipper Restaurant Review:

The Silver Slipper is one of those legendary places that, if you're a Floridian in particular, you want on your list of dining experiences. Founded in 1938, this steakhouse-supper club has survived a fire, wars, hanging chads and other political snafus. Through it all, it's been known as the place to make or break a deal and throw back a few with future business partners. The Silver Slipper offers excellent aged steaks and chops, fresh grilled fish and seafood and a killer Châteaubriand for two served "en flambé" tableside. The Kalfas family, which has owned the restaurant since its inception, gives the occasional nod to their Greek ancestry on the Slipper's otherwise all-American menu. The best homage to the Old Country is the flaky, sweet baklava on the dessert menu. Work off the calories dancing to live blues and cover bands, or indulging in a little Tuesday-night karaoke, in the restaurant's Diamond Jim Lounge.
