If you’re feeling nostalgic for old simpler days of la vie en ski, you’ll feel as comfortable as an old flannel shirt at the Skier’s Chalet, which has been rustling up choice grade char-broiled steaks to skiers since 1951. Dinner includes homemade salad prepared at your table, bread and a vegetable. They only serve beer and Mondavi wine, but you’ll feel free to put your elbows up on the varnished wood tabletops and enjoy the view of the glittering lights of town below and Aspen Mountain looming above. Two fireplaces provide warm spots for post-ski relaxation.
