THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sol Kitchen Restaurant Review:
This sunny sister eatery of Delray's acclaimed 32 East features New American Southwestern cuisine supplemented by influences from other sun-baked areas such as Mexico, Texas, South Florida, Southern California and Cuba. Start with a delectable fish taco appetizer of soft corn tortilla stuffed with tender nuggets of fried dolphin, or a golden brown burrito of crisp, pastry-like tortilla crust packed with scrumptious, slow-braised pulled pork. The cuisine exudes a Bobby Flay-like intensity of clean, bold flavors, perhaps most noticeable in stellar seafood entrées like a juicy cut of grilled dolphin served with mojo-dressed Cherokee heirloom tomatoes, or a special of grilled grouper with red lentils and smoky, tangerine-oiled, grilled escarole. 32 East's pastry chef Max Canter creates Sol's desserts---don't miss the stunning Cuban coffee flan. A lively bar scene adds excitement to this popular hot spot, but the food is reason enough to visit.
