| The lines out the door every weekend morning say it all: this is one of the best breakfast joints in Greater Boston. The pancakes and waffles with fresh fruit are famous. Omelets are as fluffy and nearly as big as pillows, filled with playful combos like swine-and-Swiss (bacon and Swiss cheese) and art, tom and Jack (artichoke, tomato and Jack cheese). It’s all way better than the brunches for which most hotels charge an arm and a leg. Post-breakfast, the Middle Eastern lunch menu is solid, if not quite as special; the same goes for the eclectic repertoire at Sound Bites BBQ & Grille across the street (711 Broadway). One major caveat: the owner is notoriously intolerant of leisurely types. Take a newspaper at your own risk. |
