Spring Mill Cafe Restaurant Review: Tucked away on a quiet side street, about 16 miles west of Philadelphia, the romantic Spring Mill Café showcases local artists along with rustic French and international fare created by chef-owner Michele Haines. Haines, who learned to cook alongside her grandmother in the Touraine region of France, prepares her own pâté and holds unique special events such as a goose cooking demonstration and dinner. Housed in a nineteenth-century former general store, the café is the perfect setting to enjoy such dishes as seared sea scallops with a spring pea risotto and truffle butter, and rack of lamb with a mustard rub, potato artichoke hash and an olive tapenade. Check out the three-course $25 prix-fixe offering Tuesdays through Thursdays.
