Since the St. Francis Hotel closed its fine-dining restaurant several years ago, the café has had to pick up the slack. It's open for breakfast and dinner for hotel guests who don't have the time or energy to venture out to San Francisco's great restaurants. An American-style buffet breakfast and a Japanese breakfast are popular. At dinner, opt for the steamed mussels, grilled fish or steak. Kids' and heart-healthy menus are a plus.
