Stoney River Legendary Steaks Restaurant Review: Stoney River, a Nashville-based steakhouse chain, serves Midwestern grain-fed beef in a comfortable setting with rustic-style finishes. Start with the lobster bisque or the roasted onion soup topped with a crouton and Gruyère. The best deal for the solo diner may be the seven- or ten-ounce filet, rubbed with coffee, brown sugar and molasses. Order a steak rare, and rare is what you get. You'll also find a double-cut pork chop and roasted all-natural chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. Fish-eaters may opt for salmon, pan-seared grouper or ahi, among other selections. For dessert, we suggest the Key lime pie. The wine list is fairly conventional, but does offer some good choices. |
