Street & Co. Restaurant Review:

The ubiquitous Maine lobster shack is fine for every day, but Street & Co. is the spot for seafood done with elegance and flair. The menu is indeed all about the seafood, whether sautéed, blackened, tossed with pasta or simply broiled. Starters come as “tastes” like seared Brussels sprouts with warm goat cheese, almonds and dark balsamic to whet the appetite. Appetizers and salads include a number of different greens, such as organic arugula and endive with fennel, pickled cauliflower, Parmesan, Meyer lemon juice and olive oil. For entrées, try dishes like sole francaise or a whole fish of the day. The main menu rarely changes, so you always can find the lobster Diablo for two. Desserts often change; go for the hazelnut torte if it’s available. The wine list is decidedly global with a focus on European choices. The only downside is that the dining room fills up quickly, especially in the summer, and can get very loud. Be sure to get a reservation, although they do reserve some tables for walk-ins, and you’ll find the outside seating refreshing in the summer.
