THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Stringer's Fish Camp Restaurant Review: Originally, the same folks who owned the Stringers on Shallowford Road opened this one, but the distances and the differences in clientele made the commute impractical. So they sold the original one and kept this one, located near the metro areas largest gathering of discount malls. Make it a plan to go discount shopping and have either lunch or dinner at Stringers. A bowl of hushpuppies is the first thing that appears on your table. The french fries are hand cut, and the fish is cooked to order. You can get seafood either deep fried the traditional Southern way, or blackened or broiled. Most of the menu is the same as the other locations except for such seasonal items as soft-shell crabs, which dont seem to sell well. Cole slaw is excellent, and dont miss the peppery corn salad. Bar, beer and wine offerings are limited, and theres none sold on Sunday, but the very good sweet iced tea is then the quaff of choice.
