THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Strip Restaurant Review:
From the hand of Atlanta restaurateur Tom Catherall, this sexy tri-level establishment offers steak, seafood and sushi. Happily, the place manages to be not quite as noisy as some of his other restaurants, so table conversation is a pleasure. We think the stand-out steak is the bone-in Kansas City strip, a 16-ounce humdinger that packs a lot of flavor thanks to the bone. Order it medium rare. Start with the Caesar salad, and consider the Logan Turnpike cheese-and-tasso grits as an alternative side to a baked potato. Mains, which include fish, come with a starch of choice, while vegetable sides must be ordered separately but easily serve two people. Béarnaise and other sauces come properly prepared and also yield enough for two. Among desserts, the warm bread pudding is the house favorite. The wine list is not thrilling, and reds will come too warm unless you specify otherwise. Upstairs Tuesdays and Thursdays, sushi is half price from 5 p.m.-7:15 p.m.
