THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sunset Grill Restaurant Review:

Owner Randy Rayburn (who also runs Midtown Café and Cabana) was among the first in Nashville to offer a late-night menu and interesting wines by the glass (there’s a lengthy overall list), and he keeps Sunset fine-tuned to suit his customers’ tastes. It’s no wonder, then, that Sunset Grill has been going strong since 1990. The place is usually filled with obscure but powerful Music Row types, songwriters on the upswing, and movers-and-shakers of every ilk. The menu is diverse, covering ground from Southern to Creole to Californian. The Voodoo Pasta is one of the most popular dishes, and once you taste the shrimp and andouille sausage bathed in spicy tomato sauce over fettuccine, you’ll see why. You can swerve into the Deep South with braised short ribs and collards or shrimp and grits, or you can continent-hop with grilled Scottish salmon with ricotta polenta or an Asian vegetable stir-fry. For dessert, do the chocolate coconut sushi --- you owe it to yourself.
