THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sushi Square Restaurant Review:

A tiny 25-seater, this clean-lined sushi bistro turns out some truly startling stuff for the jaded palate. We're talking the likes of tri-colored seaweed salad with macadamia sauce; seared Angus beef sashimi with soya truffle vinaigrette; the "julienne" roll with shrimp, cream cheese and pickled jalapeño that is baked with "fire mayo," Parmesan garlic and bagel crumbs; and individual nigiri that range from sardines (in season) to daikon radish sprout with honey plum. If you're looking for a simple California roll and a little tempura on the side, this ain't the place; ditto a glass of wine---we are enthused to note that there isn’t a drop of white vino in the house, though there is saké and beer. However, if you're into some wonderful concoctions and a neighborhood crowd of regulars, then it is indeed hip to be square.
